“Sincerely giving thanks not only helps us recognize our blessings, but it also unlocks the doors of heaven and helps us feel God’s love.” – President Thomas S. Monson
I hope you all are able to spend this time of year with your families and close friends. Truly we all have much to be grateful for, living in a time where, while fallible, so many people strive to show kindness and love to one another.
At this time of year, I see much around me for that I should give thanks for (including all of you!). 😉 Certainly times can be hard, but I am grateful even for those times as they’ve taught me much about life, love, and selflessness. The song lyrics “Because I have been given much, I too must give” ring strongly in my mind as I think of all of the blessings in my life. Being mortal, I am imperfect and prone to fault, but even still, as I go through out my days, I hope I am able to share goodness, knowledge, and comfort to those around me. I hope all of you are able to find the blessings in your lives as well, even when life can seem overwhelmingly difficult. It’s not easy, but by doing so, we can learn so much more about how we can be there for others and also find peace within ourselves.
Love you all and I hope you had a wonderful holiday,
“Verily I say unto you my friends, fear not, let your hearts be comforted; yea, rejoice evermore, and in everything give thanks.” – D&C 98:1
